About Course
Ilaj Bil Yad Foundations is the certification core of ISM Academy (CISP Level 1). Over eight video lessons in Urdu, with English lesson text and key terms, you will learn what Ilaj Bil Yad — treatment by hand — is, the spine in plain words, Tashkhees (diagnosis-gated assessment), Tayyari (Dalk preparation), Taqweem (adjustment principles), Taqwiyat (post-care and Islahi Riyazat), contraindications and red flags, and worked cases. One rule runs through the whole course: no Taqweem without complete Tashkhees. We talk about recovery, not cure, and we are honest about what hands-on care can and cannot do.
Each lesson is a video of 10–15 minutes in Urdu, with English lesson text and key terms. The video lessons are being recorded and will be added here.
How you are assessed
To complete the course you must pass all three parts of the final assessment:
- Timed final quiz — 10 questions, 80% to pass, 2 attempts.
- Case assignment — a written Ilaj Bil Yad plan (800–1,200 words) for a teaching case, graded by the academy.
- In-person practical at the clinic — required for the certificate. The practical cannot be done online: hands-on skill has to be seen and checked in person.
How to submit your assignment: Submit your assignment here in the course (upload your PDF/DOCX file or type your plan directly). It is graded by Prof. Ali (pass/fail with a short comment). If the upload does not work, send it by WhatsApp to +92 333 5166160 or by email to info@matibalmualij.com.
In-person practical — what you must demonstrate
At the clinic you will demonstrate each item below on a real or simulated patient, narrating your safety reasoning aloud. Any item marked as an automatic fail fails the whole practical, whatever else was done well.
- Complete Tashkhees — Mizaj form done; history taken; observation (gait, posture); palpation (vertebrae, muscles); range of motion; imaging reviewed; red-flag screen completed and spoken aloud. Automatic fail if the red-flag screen is skipped or an absolute red flag is missed.
- Dalk sequence — Dalk-e-Layyin first (calm the muscles), then Dalk-e-Sulb (deep); correct pressure and direction; state when Dalk would be withheld.
- Regional Taqweem — one lumbar side-posture OR one thoracic (with exhalation) adjustment, correctly positioned, correct force and direction, with safety narration before the thrust. Automatic fail if a thrust is attempted without complete Tashkhees.
- Cervical handling — state the cervical rules and perform George’s Test correctly; withhold cervical thrust when indicated, with the reason stated. Automatic fail for any forceful cervical rotation, or thrust after a positive George’s Test.
- Consent and documentation — written informed consent obtained before the session; patient told what is normal afterwards (soreness 24–48 hours); SOAP note written, including any withheld adjustment with its red flag and reason. Automatic fail if consent is missing.
- Taqwiyat plan — Islahi Riyazat prescribed with counts; Mizaj-matched diet advice; lifestyle advice (rising, sitting, sleeping); follow-up date set.
Pass standard: all 6 items demonstrated or correctly withheld with a stated reason, and no automatic-fail error. Pass, with the quiz and assignment also passed, opens the certificate path. Fail means repeating the practical after revision.
About the certificate
The CISP certificate is the academy’s own credential. It is not a government-recognised qualification. It is awarded only after the final quiz, the graded case assignment and the in-person practical have all been passed.
Enrolment
The course is free for the pilot cohort. Enrolment is by invitation: the pilot cohort is invited and approved by the clinic, and places are given manually. There is no open self-registration.
